Mr. Nigel Lee, President, First Data International(North Asia)
Nigel Lee has been working in the Asia Pacific region for over 10 years and operating out of Hong Kong for the last 4 years. He is current based out of Shanghai where he heads First Data International for North Asia
He has over fifteen years experience leading and advising organizations on business driven technology strategies and enterprise transformation with particular focus on financial services organizations. During this time he has held roles consulting to, managing and selling in organizations globally including in the UK, Eastern Europe, the US and Asia.
In addition to his consulting roles, Nigel has held several line roles including Director of Financial Services Asia for EDS from 2000 to 2005, CIO for financial services organization Australian Home Loans, the largest non-bank lender in Australia, from 1998 to 2000 and Director of Strategy and technology for Hyder Plc., a privatized utility, from 1992 to 1995.
Over the years Nigel has driven a number of key initiatives in the financial services arena for a variety of organizations in Asia. These include :
Creating a multi-country utility solutions for cards processing for a Global Bank delivering service across 7 countries in Asia
Implementing paperless centralized loans processing for a Korean Bank including process re-engineering and change management.
Developing a channel integration roadmap for a major retail bank in Australia including business and technology change programs.
Creating Business Intelligence solutions to help a financial services company implement market strategy to target premium customers.
Introducing a core banking solution for a mortgage management organization including integration to 150 person inbound and outbound call center.
Nigel is a regular speaker at industry forums on the challenges facing the financial services industry in the age of digital payments and Global regulatory changes.
Nigel has an international MBA from Manchester Business School, and a Master in Engineering from Imperial College London.
